guess I’m not the fighting kind.
I’ve always thought that with so much energy going into bickering over petty dramas, or people trying to bring others down with their inane and pointless blogposts/social microposts, it’s little wonder that there are some people in SL who seem to say a lot, but contribute nothing to the grid. Nothing constructive anyways – some people do nothing but try to bring others down at any opportunity they can. Be it through words, like blogs or Plurk/Twitter lines, or actions – like the seemingly growing trend in copybotters.
These are the irrelevant fucktards, put eloquently. They’re the scum of the grid, and aren’t worth our acknowledgement that they exist.
I’m coming up to my third rez day, and I’m happy with the progress I’ve made in Second Life, in terms of my architectural skills in world, and working for some of the grid’s biggest RL clients and community events, as well as touching upon nearly every sector within SL life. To me, Second Life is about learning and doing your part to be a positive and functional member of the grid’s society.
Yes, there will always be fucktards who complain and moan because they don’t have skills or talent, and instead try to bring others down through their jealousy. But lets face it – if the grid was full of people like this, Second Life would have died a long time ago.
Second Life residents made the grid what it is today, and we’re the ones with the option to make it grow, or to destroy it. As individuals, we have the choice to be creative souls who learn skills and make the grid a better place for us all to enjoy. Or we can be jealous fucktards who try to destroy those people who are simply trying to make the grid a better place than they entered it, and instead just drive them away.
